 * Hi [@wpblogwriter](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wpblogwriter/),
 * Thanks for reaching out.
 * I checked with our team about this, and here’s what they confirmed:
 * Although the error may look concerning, it **does not prevent the plugin from
   updating or affect any of its functionality**. The update completes successfully,
   and the error is only visible if `WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY` is enabled on your site.
 * Unfortunately, there isn’t anything we can do at the moment to prevent this error
   from occurring.
 * This is a known and reproducible issue that affects any plugin that bundles **
   Action Scheduler** and is updated via **WP-CLI** instead of through the WordPress
   admin dashboard. It’s not specific to The Events Calendar—plugins such as **WooCommerce**,**
   WPForms**, and others that vendor Action Scheduler are also affected.
 * The upstream Action Scheduler maintainers have classified this as an enhancement
   rather than a critical bug because the fatal error occurs during the **shutdown
   phase**, at the very end of the update process, after the plugin has already
   been updated successfully. As a result, the error is cosmetic and does not impact
   the actual update or the plugin’s functionality.
 * I hope this helps clarify what you’re seeing. Please let me know if you have
   any other questions or concerns.
