Could not update the Publicize connections on the remote Jetpack site. No Publicize connection created.

Any ideas why this is? or more importantly how to fix it

The issue still remains as described earlier: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-trying-to-connect-site-to-facebook-page/#post-11556591

We’d of course prefer you didn’t give up on Jetpack, but there’s nothing Jetpack can do if its only path of communication is blocked.

is there a way to discern where is the block coming from?
    Because I have tried everything I know…
Like I said if this was a server issue I will be having the same issue on every site on that server and it is not the case…

So I am at a limbo here.

There is no way for us to tell from our end, no. The only information we have is the error messages you’ve seen for yourself when Jetpack tries to access your server, namely that authorisation is required. But we have no way of telling what security measure on that end is asking for this authorisation.

would you be able to help if you had access?

I just tested another site on the same server
it has the same security plugins and is updated to the last version of everything
NO ISSUE – I posted a test and it appeared in both facebook and twitter

despite having the following setting in wordfence

Require 2FA for XML-RPC call authentication
If enabled, XML-RPC calls that require authentication will also require a valid 2FA code to be appended to the password. You must choose the “Skipped” option if you use the WordPress app, the Jetpack plugin, or other services that require XML-RPC.
    SKIPPED
    REQUIRED
    Disable XML-RPC authentication
If disabled, XML-RPC requests that attempt authentication will be rejected.NOT DISABLED

Both site use similar set up
    I am lost
