• ERROR: The theme directory “example theme” does not exist.

I am getting the above message in my dashboard for all my themes. When I try to delete the theme I get sent to a page that says “Cheatin Uh”

What is this and how do I fix?

  • Try switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    Thanks, I will try that.

After I try that should I then rename the themes folder back to it’s original name?

You can but I would not advise activating that theme again until you have reported these issues to the theme’s developer and been given a solution.
