    problems with JSON.

    1.When I do my google speed test via the google kit, I get the following error message
    Error: The response is not a valid JSON response.
    i really tried everything plugins deactivated, fiddled around in the .htacces, classic widget installed… this error drives me crazy! I hope you can help me

    Thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear you’ve been encounter problems running a speed test within the Site Kit dashboard. So we can assist you with this please share the following information:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. Do you see any browser console errors on your dashboard, which may indicate something blocking your PageSpeed Insights reporting? If so please share the messages that appear.
    3. Do you see any warnings or errors when checking your Site Health status (Tools > Site Health > Status), which differs from your Site Health information requested above? Such errors may include REST endpoint references.

    Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Note that while we’re troubleshooting this issue you can use web.dev or the PageSpeed Insights web interface to do some performance testing. Not ideal of course, however, we can hopefully determine the cause once reviewing your site details above.

    Hey! Thanks for your answer! I was able to solve the problem and wanted to write it here again before someone else wasted 3 days dealing with the JSON Error.

    I increased the connection timeout limit and was able to solve the problem.

    Select PHP version >> Options -> increasing the connection timeout limit

    Everything works fine now
