# Error (syntax) after installing

 * Hi there,
 * I’m a complete database newb, although I’ve been taught some basic SQl in the
   past. I’ve just finished my wordpress installation on murphsy.com.
 * But when I try to login it gives me this error:
 *     ```
       Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/prologue/domains/murphsy.com/public_html/wp-admin/admin.php on line 29
       ```
   
 * I’ve tried looking at the file manually (go notepad!) but it seems proper to 
   me.
 * What am I doing wrong?
 * ::edit::
 * The site seems to be running, but when I try to enter the Site Admin area I get
   the error described above. I’ve already double checked the config file and uplaoded
   it again!

 * Might try deleting and then reuploading the WordPress files, in particular the
   wp-admin folder.
 * Make sure you use ASCII transfer mode if using FTP to upload files.
