# Error step 5

 * I got up to step 5. When I open /wp-admin/install.php, I get a bunch of codes
   that don’t make sense. For the url, they guess “<?php echo $guessurl; ?>” and
   gave me no password, just “”. I tried looking at the faq and editing wp-login,
   but my browser does not over the myPHPadmin. Help please?
    I’m about to cry. 
   I’ve been working at this for almost four hours. I’m desperate enough to give
   someone my password. Please help!! Thank you in advance, Stephanie

 * PS, i’m doing this on cox.net, they give you free webspace. Also, here’s the

 * Email cox.net, and ask them if they have PHP installed for your webspace.
    It
   doesn’t look like they do from that.

 * It’s the language that WP uses. Without it, WP just won’t run.
    You could try
   this. Copy this into Notepad <?php phpinfo(); ?> Save it as ‘info.php’ Upload
   it to your webspace, then visit that file in your browser – for instance: [http://members.cox.net/nckeyclub/wordpress/info.php](http://members.cox.net/nckeyclub/wordpress/info.php)
   and see what happens. Hopefully you see a big page full of technical info.

    Thanks for solving a 4 hour mystery though!!
   Do you know of any other good, free blog services such as WordPress (one that
   does not use PHP)? hehe

 * You could sign up for a free WP blog ? there are ads on the site though. Search
   here for ‘blogthing’ or try here: [http://blogs.gnuker.com/](http://blogs.gnuker.com/)
   
   To be honest though, PHP is pretty basic and should be included in most deals.
   Some other hosts are here: [http://wiki.wordpress.org/Known%20Good%20Hosts](http://wiki.wordpress.org/Known%20Good%20Hosts)
   and Web-mania on there look to be the cheapest at £20/year. Other than that,
   I can’t think of one that doesn’t use php .. sorry !
