    Hi,
Today i only did minor update of really simple ssl plugin to latest version 3.3.2
then i created staging copy to work on. last time i created a staging copy was 11th may and it worked fine. now only when creating staging copies, i get this message in all the browsers i use and preview within cpanel “connection is not private”

In the published website SSL works perfectly fine. I believe the problem is with the latest update of really simple ssl plugin. i also noticed on cpanel let’s encrypt that the ssl was not on the those new staging copies i created this afternoon after update of the plugin. tried to force to add SSL to them but nothing i got this “Let’s Encrypt certificate added successfully to the installation queue” but it does not appear yet

    How to fix it?

    Hi,

Really Simple SSL requires a valid SSL certificate before it can work correctly. It’s possible your staging site doesn’t have a valid SSL certificate. This can be fixed by your hosting provider, once a valid SSL certificate has been installed, SSL should work on the staging site.

    Hi,

@markwolters I asked my hosting and they said there is an issue with let’s encrypt and when i create a staging copy (it started happening around a month ago) they have to force the install of ssl on the staging copy

hopefully they fix this issue soon. the ssl is 100% working on the published version of the website

    Thanks for your answer
