I was excited to find this plugin, for free. As soon as I installed I received several php errors.

Warning: Missing argument 2 for wpdb::prepare(), called in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/awesome-filterable-portfolio/afp.php on line 610 and defined in /public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 992

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php:992) in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/awesome-filterable-portfolio/afp.php on line 611

Upon viewing the portfolio page, it looked nothing like the example and the image is missing, though its on my server.

    Very disappointing.

What is really disappointing is that you didn’t even read any documentation or contacted me to ask for help. The plugin does work as shown in the video tutorial. The portfolio you created didn’t look like the example because of your stupid mind that didn’t know how to set it up correctly.
I’ve worked hard to develop it and make available for free and your poor rating doesn’t reflect what the plugin really deserves.

Did you seriously call me stupid over not liking your plugin? Welcome to the big leagues. Not everyone will like your work and you have to take rejection with a grain of salt. Its feedback like this that help you grow your products and one day create a solid solution that you maybe be able to make money off of. Calling your potential clients stupid is getting in the way of your own success. By the time you came to my site I already moved on to another plugin and eventually built my own. But thanks for the feedback though. While writing those words made you feel good the fact that this is online for everyone to see should be an embarrassment overall.

OK. That was interesting to read in a mean spirited way.

I’ve deleted that last two exchanges because they sure weren’t being productive.

@cecily? This is a review section.

    Very disappointing.

That’s not a review, that’s a “I didn’t bother to give it any effort when I hit a problem and decided it was easier to post a 1 star review.” post.

From your carefully worded comments I’m pretty sure you could have found the problem and posted something more positive in either the support forums or in this review.

That’s the sort of thing you can try if you needed or wanted to actually use this plugin.

I’m mean, you know you can do better than that. 😉

@brinia? These reviews are a plugin or theme author’s best place to shine and show off their best side even in the face of a really unfair review.

You really get to sell yourself where people reading these reviews can say “Hey! That author’s alright!” Or something.

Bad and unfair reviews happen all the time. Sometimes they are “1 star! Plugin suxxz!” and when they’re that awful they get deleted because that’s just trolling.

This one wasn’t really that bad even if it wasn’t all that fair. A level response might have gotten Cecily to work with you and make your plugin even better.

Yes, you’re disappointed too and offering code for public use is an often thankless effort. But please try not to get ticked off and reply like that. I recommend walking. Walking is good.

Thanks Jan! I will definitely do my best to fix that issue and publish a new update soon.
