Error: Sitemap is HTML

    Your plugin creates a sitemap.

    However, when I go to Google Webmaster Tools >> Crawl >> Sitemaps and submit the URL http://mydomain.com/sitemapindex.xml I test it and receive the following error:

    “Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead.”

    Please advise how to fix this so I can submit the sitemap that your plugin created. It is easily found at http://mydomain.com/sitemapindex.xml but Google won’t accept it???

    Please confirm how I can fix this error and upload your sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools without errors.
