# Error Site not published… Odd

 * Hey everyone,
 * So I went through the Godaddy setup process, bought the domain and the URL along
   with the hosting and did a quick and easy set up. Everything looked perfect until
   I go to the URL and it tells me that my site is not published and that I need
   to republish it for it to show up.
 * Does anyone know what I am missing? Thanks!

 * you will need to remove the godaddy placeholder file in the root
    index.html 
   or default.html

   rename or delete the index.html file like I said above the wordpress index.php
   will not work until you do

    Looks like your
   install of WordPress is here: [http://thebokenonline.com/wordpress/](http://thebokenonline.com/wordpress/)
   This is the default when installing through Hosting Connection and can be adjusted
   upon installation.
 * If you’d like to move your install you can follow the steps here:
    [http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress](http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress)
 * If you’d like to keep your install in Hosting Connection, you can uninstall (
   instructions here: [http://help.godaddy.com/article/1736](http://help.godaddy.com/article/1736))
   and reinstall to the root or another directory. This option is available when
   you get to the step that says “Choose install directory”.
 * Keep in mind that it’s always a good practice to backup your data before making
   any changes.
