And yes, I previously have Wordfence installed then deactivated and deleted it and also used Wordfence Assistant to clear all leftover data. Can you help me out remove this error?

    Hi @alygraphy

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue.

There could be multiple reasons for this error.

Could you check in the first place via FTP does wordfence-waf.php file still exist in your root folder? If so delete it.
Also check your htaccess file does it contain any define to call this file (wordfence-waf.php) and if yes, please remove it.

If the above does not help, please try to re-install Defender, as there is a possibility as well, that during the last update of Defender on your site some files were skipped.

Please let me know about the results.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

    Hello,

I checked my files and there’s no wordfence-waf.php anymore. As I said, I already deleted all Wordfence files. Also, there’s no additional code left by Wordfence on htaccess. Resetting and reinstalling did the trick.
