Every time I try to upload a picture (regardless of file size or dimension)I get this error. * I have my permissions set to 755, and manually created the “upLoads” folder within the wp-content file. It was not already there, I also went to the media setting and put the upload file path in as the default (leading to the uploads folder) but have found no change. If you still have problems, try 767 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s). * – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems? * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F) by FTP or PhpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems. * – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a **fresh** download of WordPress? * – increasing the memory available to PHP? Have you checked via FTP?
