    Hello,

can I go back to the older version and how get I access to the admin panel?

thanks a lot for your help!

Go into admin and make sure WooCommerce is actually activated.

You’d need to remove the plugin/theme causing this by FTP’ing into your site. I don’t know which one would be responsible however – one must be doing a check for WooCommerce existence in a really bad way.

since i updated the woocommerce-plugin today, like proposed in the admin panel, nothing works. I deleted the woocommerce-plugin on the FTP, nothing works. i remove the older one from my backup, nothing works…

connihahn, its not WooCommerce itself. it’s something else checking to see if woocommerce exists and this check is failing. Find out which plugin and remove it to get access to admin.

hi mike, how to find out? i didn’t change anything at other plugins…

That error message is singularly unhelpful.

You could try renaming your plugin folder (to get rid of ALL plugins) and see if the site comes up.

If not, you should rename your active theme’s folder, which will cause WordPress to switch to a default theme, and hopefully let you back in the admin.

I have the same problem after each WooCommerce update. My solution is to manually reactivate the WooCommerce plugin via MySQL (wp_options -> active_plugins) – but you should know what you’re doing there. If not, this might help you: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/199798/activate-a-plugin-through-phpmyadmin-or-ftp

rollbrettfahrer77 were you able to identify what plugin/theme is doing the check in such a destructive way?

Mike – no I wasn’t, but I didn’t search for it. As I was unable to get into admin, I just did the mysql trick. My theme is twentytwelve and my woo-related plugins are:

WooCommerce Product Filter von Mihajlovic Nenad – 5.0.1
WooCommerce Extended Coupon Features von Jos Koenis – 2.2.5.1
WooCommerce Colors von WooThemes – 1.0.6
Woocommerce Cross Sell Products Display von Logicfire – 1.2
WooCommerce Max Quantity von Isabel Castillo – 1.2.4
WooCommerce – List Products by Tags von Remi Corson – 1.0
WooCommerce Shortcodes von WooThemes, Claudio Sanches – 1.0.0
    WooCommerce von WooThemes – 2.4.12
WP All Import Pro von Soflyy – 4.1.7
WP All Import – WooCommerce Add-On Pro von Soflyy – 2.1.7

mike thank you… I’m also using
    Woocommerce Cross Sell Products Display
so i’ll try to disactivate this first.

    hi everyone,

    I’m in!!!

actually i renamed the plugin-folder (plugins_)
and then i had immediately access to the admin panel.
i renamed the plugin-folder to plugins and step by step i activated the plugins. cross sells in the end (after the woocommerce update).

thank you so much everybody for your support.
