Error opening galleries in Manage Galleries

    This is the error I’m getting:

    Error thrown
    Call to undefined function ctype_lower()

    I am not able to upload images to new galleries in the dashboard. Inserting images in post/page edit mode works fine.

    I have tried to revert theme to WP 2020 and disable all other plugins. There seems to be no conflict. This occurs on all of my NextGen Gallery installations. Is this plugin og server related?

    Apart from this, the plugin works nicely, and images are still shown on the front-end.

    I contacted my server host and we found a solution. They “downgraded” the PHP version to 7.3.2 instead of 7.4. That fixed it. According to my host, this is a plugin issue.

    I resolved this issue on Fatcow by requesting they install the ctype module, which they had in PHP 7.3 but not 7.4.
