Error: Only Stripe Connect platforms can work with other accounts

    Hello,

    our website is still in development, so we use the sandbox mode from Stripe. So far this worked fine, but since today we receive the following error message in the checkout, when we try to make a test order:

    “Only Stripe Connect platforms can work with other accounts. If you specified a client_id parameter, make sure it’s correct.”

    The sandbox APIs are correct and also the connection test is successful. How can we solve this issue?

    Hi @binok,

    Did you change anything about your connection to Stripe like manually entering your API keys when you had previously used the Connect to Stripe button?

    What version of the plugin are you running? Make sure you update to the latest version.

    Hi @mrclayton,

    thank you for your message. We haven’t changed anything about the Stripe connection. So we don’t know where this issue is coming from.

    We are using the version 3.3.21.

    Hi @binok,

    Can you share a link to your site so we can review? Do you have any other Stripe plugins enabled?

    That’s not an issue we’ve encountered before. Did you manually enter your API keys or use the Connect option?

    Hi @mrclayton,

    can I send you the link somewhere safe? I don’t want to post it here publicly.

    We don’t have any other Stripe plugins installed or enabled. I haven’t set up the connection, but I think the API was entered manually.

    Setting to resolved. Merchant is now able to process test payments without any issues.
