Hi when I updated to the latest version the update process failed. It looked liked there was some raw html/javascript following the failed message. After refreshing the plugins page AdRotate appeared to be updated to 12.5.3 but now one of my ad groups in the Widgets area is not showing. Any thoughts?

I use AdRotate on 3 sites and it’s been working great for us for years. This is the first issue. We keep the site up to date so running the latest WordPress, and the previous version of AdRotate would have been 3 or 4 months old at the most.

    Thanks.

Well this is possible embarrassing… = > I recently switched to Opera and did not realize that the Ad Blocker was in effect by default. My sidebar ad is now showing.

I did see the failed update message though maybe something for you to look into.

I did run the manual update in settings|maintenance and I’ve purged my cache a bunch of times so at this point I believe it’s all working.

Thanks for a great free tool it is very much appreciated.

AdRotate doesn’t use JS or stuff like that for updates. So if something goes wrong with that, that’s more likely a WordPress issue.
But without seeing the error I can’t say much useful about it.

If the ad is now working without the adblocker that’s a simple solution then 🙂

And if you have the latest version now, then the update ultimately worked it seems. If the error happens again next time please try to copy it or screenshot it so I can investigate the potential problem or see what goes wrong.

Hi just updated to the latest AdRotate and again the error after update but on page refresh it seems to have been successful.

This is under investigation but I have no idea what causes it.
I suspect it’s something WordPress does and I can’t reproduce it so far…

But thanks for the screenshot maybe that’ll turn up something.
