# Error On Update

 * Went into wp admin and saw there was an update for NextGen. Installed update 
   but when it was finished I had an “angry man face” where the “Activate Plugin”
   buttons should be. I went into the Plugins section and pressed Activate but received
   a “No data received” error.
 * Downloaded Nextgen and manually installed via FTP. Still can’t activate.
 * Renamed plugins folder to “reset” plugins and then named it back, still can’t
   activate. All other plugins are deactivated but still can’t activate Nextgen,
   even using default theme. Any ideas?

 * Like a grey box with a little angry face in it.
 * I updated NG on my other WP site and it’s disappeared completely. Had to delete
   the plugin via FTP to make my site show up again.

   no data received” seems like a not complete or corrupted installation, but then
   a manual installation via FTP should be resolutive.
    Before the upgrade everything
   worked well? Have you looked in the error log on the server in correspondence
   with the time in which the error occurred?

    I bought the plugin and I updated the plugin And slideshow
   does not work Before the update it worked Perfect

   you have the Pro version and you have to ask support directly to the plugin’s
   author via contact form, also your problem is totally different, so if the problem
   is with the upgraded free version of the plugin you should open your own topic.

 * Yeah everything worked fine. Tried manually updating on both sites, one went 
   down completely and the other just won’t activate the plugin, works fine, just
   get no data received when trying to activate.
 * I don’t know how to access server error logs.

   root, otherwise you have to ask your provider.
    And copy and paste here your 
   server configuration, the one you can find in plugin’s Overview page. It may 
   be useful even if all worked well before.
