    Dear support team. I wanted to use your plugin, but once activated, the url

    says:

    error on line 1 at column 1: Encoding error
    Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.
    ”

    The Apache errors.log are empty. Could you help me please?

    The settings are default.

    I have:
    Posts (5524)
    Pages (197)
    Categories (821)
    Tags (173)
    subtitles (custom taxonomy) (139)

    Hi @radeko it seems you deactivated the sitemap plugin. If you reactivate it, I can take a look…

    But even without looking at the sitemap itself, I can see a space before the DOCTYPE declaration in your front page source code. See open in Chrome view-source:https://www.amruta.org/ and you will see that space there at the beginning of the very first line too.

    Such a space is not allowed in XML. Neither in HTML but normal browsers are relaxed about it so your website shows without error but XML display is blocked nevertheless.

    You’ll need to find the origin of that space.

    Often, the cause is a space before the opening <?php tag in wp-config.php or the theme’s functions.php

    For a very quick fix I used
    wejn.org/stuff/wejnswpwhitespacefix.php.html
