• I have searched the forum for this and there are a number of discussions relating to it but no definitive answers. Everything was fine prior to the upgrade to 4.5.2. Some of the these topics go way back to version 2+! Some have upgraded their PHP version at the host, I tried this but didn’t work. Others have reinstalled the upgrade manually. Some worked some didn’t. I can only see the images in list view. Has anyone found a conclusive solution to this yet please?

    SOLVED:

I downgraded to WP 4.4.2. I think a lot of people had this problem since the Auto-upgrade to 4.5.2., certainly among my clients. I have also switched off auto-upgrades using a plugin called Easy Updates Manager. Doesn’t mean I will never upgrade again, but I will wait for the next one and see if any issus arise before using it myself. I would recommend always keeping a fresh copy of your existing version to hand

The image upload problem was the Permalink structure. I simply changed it to my preferred setting and all was well. Mysteriously, it was reset to a selection I would not normally choose following the downgrade. Worth knowing.

awesome to hear. could u please mark thread resolved 🙂
