# Error on Activating plugins and error on functions.php

 * Hi,
 * Im got this error everytime I am installing a plugin.
    =================== Downloading
   install package from [https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/mdc-youtube-downloader.zip…](https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/mdc-youtube-downloader.zip…)
 * Unpacking the package…
 * Could not create directory.
    ===================
 * Why do I get that error? It has something to do with functions.php?
 * Few days ago, I edited the functions.php to exclude a post category on the sidebar.

   I paste the codes on that link.
 * On functions.php, on line 1499 is the start on the codes that I added. Yesterday,
   I can’t login on the site. I got this error.

   or try the support forums. ====================
 * I tried to removed the codes that I added and I can access the back-end of the
   site but I didn’t remove the codes because I need to exclude a post on the sidebar.
   Now I got the error on installing themes. Why does I encounter does error? Please
   help me to fix this issue. Thanks
