 * A user complained that they were unable to Cancel their booking after sending
out a global email to all users last night. They were unable to do so using the
Cancel Booking form which has worked previously a day ago by another user. When
I attempt to cancel for the user by clicking on Events or People, I am presented
with an Error box “An error occurred while communicating with the server”. EME
needed updating and so this was done but did not solve the problem. A user reported
this type of problem over 2 years ago and the suggestion was to review the logs,
but being a novice WP admin, I have been unable to determine where the logs are
   to investigate further.
 * Do you have any ideas or suggestions on how to move forward?

 * Do you already have an error when just clicking on ‘Events’ in the backend?

What is your php version? And your mysql version? And if you don’t know where
your logs are, you should ask your site provider for assistance here.

 * The problem appears to be with the hosting organisation as I found a message
identifying that they had suspended some services due to their automated security
system detecting unusual e-mail activity when I bulk emailed all 10 entries for
an event last week. Due to having a bcc, it sent 20 emails out. Not sure why
that was suspicious, but they have advised me that I can only get support between
Monday to Friday, so will attempt to resolve tomorrow.
 * For info, PHP is Ver 7.4.10 and msqli is 5.7.30

 * It appears that the sender address needs to be from the main domain (which it
wasn’t) for this web hosting company and that flagged up the security issue as
a potential spamming problem with an unknown email address. I’m hoping that I
can use the bcc function to advise the organiser and use a no-reply@domain_name
as the sender address in the future.
