• I’ve moved my wordpress site to a new URL.

I’ve followed the instructions in the codex
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress
    and
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL

I’ve copied my old database and uploaded it to the new URL.

I’ve run a find and replace in MySQL to change the post permalinks to match the new URL.

I’ve changed the URL in the admin general settings.

I can access the admin, and I can see the homepage of my blog.
I can also see all my pages in the admin section.

    PROBLEM:

when I follow the link to “view page” i get the following error:

The requested URL /skyclub-dxtr-2/first-class-flights-to-america was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

What have I missed? What do I need to do?

  • Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting and deleting/renaming your WordPress .htaccess file. If this works, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.

Alright I dont know where to ask questions some Im gonna go for it on here. I seemed to have made a poor decision by moving my blog from the Settings:General page of my Admin dashboard, from mysite.com/blog to mysite.com, and I deleted my normal home page because it sucked. I deleted the home page, then moved the blog from /blog to /, and after that I cant access my blog, admin page, or anything else. Its a complete mess, 404 errors everywhere. Anyone have any suggestion on what to do? Again, cant even access my admin page.
