My post at http://www.prefblog.com/?p=3583 is uncategorized. I have attempted to edit the post, but the edit page does not load. Once in every 20-odd attempts, I get an “Error on Page” message in IE.
The error message is:
Error: ‘content length’ is null or not an object
The last five lines of page source code are:
<li><a href='post-new.php'>Write</a></li> <li><a href='edit.php'>Manage</a></li> <li><a href='themes.php'>Design</a></li> <li><a href='edit-comments.php'>Comments <span id='awaiting-mod' class='count-0'><span class='comment-count'>0</span></span></a></li>
Examination of the wp_posts table in the database revealed that there was some kind of time-stamp error on the post – it was showing the following day in some of the fields. Manual correction of the times did not have any effect.
Any help would be appreciated. So would more attention to robustness of code and stringent error-catching routines on the part of WordPress’ programmers, if they can tear themselves away from making the menus look pretty.
