# Error message when users trying to subscribe

 * As users are registering at my site for email updates, they are receiving this
   error: Sorry, there seems to be an error on the server. Please try again later.
 * Thought this was an error with my host (Hostway) blocking email sending limits,
   however I contacted them and they identified the error:
 * > The actual error when trying to subscribe at “[http://nadiadance.net/news/subscribe-to-the-npac-newsletter/&#8221](http://nadiadance.net/news/subscribe-to-the-npac-newsletter/&#8221);
   > is:
   > WordPress database error: [Unknown column ‘time’ in ‘field list’]
   >  INSERT INTO
   > wp_subscribe2 (email, active, date, time, ip) VALUES (‘test@test.com’, 0, CURDATE(),
   > CURTIME(), ‘84.22.6.252’)
   > Our Administrators have checked the “wp_subscribe2” table and indeed there 
   > was no column “time”. You should handle it from here on as the problem is out
   > of our scope of support.

 * This is a known issue in 8.7 that is fixed in 8.8. You can download the update(
   not released just yet, it’s in final testing) from here:
