# Error message when uploading images

 * I am trying to upload new photos to my website but keep getting the following
   error. I have turned the photos into GIFS but get the same problem.
 * Error Message
 * Unable to create directory /usr/local/pem/vhosts/186197/webspace/httpdocs/wp-
   content/uploads/2013/02. Is its parent directory writable by the ser
    ver?
 * Does anyone know how I can fix this?

 * Check the permissions on the upload folder, either with your FTP program, or 
   through your host panel.
