 * I tried to install wordpress on my site, so I uploaded everything by ftp. I believe
   the MySQL database is not configured correctly. I am hosting with godaddy, and
   when I go to wp-admin/install.php I get this message:
 * Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required
   by WordPress.
 * I created a MySQL database but did not do anything else. I altered the config
   php script as described in the install process. I uploaded it to the website
   and not MySQL which I am assuming is the problem. Do I need to import it?
 * My options on my database are
 * processes
    databases import export
 * Obviously, I’m new to this and completely lost. When I try to import, it asks
   for the text file, which seems incorrect.
 * Please help

   Don’t assume. No, it should NOT be uploaded to the database. It should be in
   WP root dir.
 * Are you on Win server or Linux? If Win, switch immediately to Linux.

 * There are no problems if I am running windows on my computer to switch to linux?
   I was planning on having the site in the root directory of my website, so the
   homepage would be straight to the blog.

 * Your computer has nothing to do with godaddy’s server. Those are not related
   at all.
    Nobody should ever use a Win server for hosting.

 * How do you change from windows to a linux server with godaddy? Do I just have
   to email them and they will change it for me, or is it a setting I can change.
   I have emailed them and requested they change it for me, but could I save time
   and do it myself?
