Error Message Upon Activation – Warning: fopen

    Hi,

    Looking forward to giving the plugin a go … but, …

    Yay for me! Not. Immediately upon activation, and visible at the top of the Maps > Settings Page … we get the following error message, and I looked at line 4482, there’s almost nothing there, but I am no coder, so have you got any ideas?

    Warning: fopen(/xxx/xxx/public_html/the-rv-life.com/wp-content/uploads/wp-google-maps/error_log.txt): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /xxx/xxx/public_html/the-rv-life.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-google-maps/wpGoogleMaps.php on line 4482

    UPDATE:

    1. Just so you know what I have done on my end, … I have attempted to install the plugin both ways, meaning via installing directly from the WP Repository and then via downloading and the uploading and installing, no dice either way.

    2. Then methinks, and I am no ace at this stuff, but are we missing a file in the zip file, … ‘wp-google-maps/error_log.txt’ … can’t wait to see what the resolution is.

    3. From what I can see you are top-notch on support, and have a great attitude, and a cordial tone, so I am still very excited about the potential of the plugin and very confident that we’ll get the issue resolved, … meanwhile back at the ranch, I shall consult with my barbarians, lol. 🙂

    We’ll patch this as well.

    All these errors have crept in lately due to us removing PHP “error_reporting” in our plugin sot hat WP_DEBUG can actually.. well.. help with debugging as it should 😉

    REPORT:

    1. Installed directly from the plugin WP page.
    2. Upon opening Settings Page … no error message … viola!!
    3. Now, on to working with first map, … everything looks good from here on out, will keep you posted, if, need arises.
