I also tried editing the text of the Add to Cart buttons, for example changing 2018 to 2021 in the product name. * Initially, I got one or two instances of a nonce error message. I then got repeated errors citing cache-related issues, possible changes to the button, hash violations. I looked at the page source and see that each shortcode includes 2 hash codes. The ones that I either edited, or even put in fully by hand, had different hash values than the originals. The problem persisted with the caching plugin disabled. * Some buttons worked (generally the unedited ones, but also some of the edited ones), most did not. * I copied the page source code for the buttons to Notepad++ and compared them. I did not see anything to flag as causing the error. * I did see discussions on this support forum about versions of PHP (I have 7.4), interference from other plugins, and doubled spaces, etc. * I finally ended up checking “Disable Price Check” for Add to Cart in Dashboard >SimpleCart>Settings in WordPress. I do not think that the Product Names I used are complex, which is what this option is labeled for. That worked. I am concerned, however, about whether that is safe or wise.
