Support » Plugin: Easy Forms for Mailchimp » Error message form builder

Basically, this plugin and some demo forms in it came with the theme. I’ve successfully connected the Mailchimp API, but I see errors for the demo forms:

In each form’s ‘pagebuilder’ section, I see the error message, ‘We’ve encountered an error. Reload the page and try again. If the error persists, please reach out to support’

I’ve also turned on debug and see the following:

    Hi @neeshant91,

I am not sure why you’re getting the initial errors (Resource Not Found). This usually means the API key is incorrect (seems doubtful in this situation), your forms are referencing IDs that don’t exist, or you’re being blocked by Mailchimp.

Since you entered your API key and it is connected, I don’t think that is the issue.

What are the demo forms? Are they showing a shortcode? Does the shortcode reference a form ID? Does this form ID exist? Can you try creating your own form and adding the shortcode? Do you get the same errors?

The last reason for these types of errors is that you’re getting blocked by Mailchimp. This is actually quite common and here is my typical response to that problem:
MailChimp will block you (via a service called Akamai) if your IP address has been responsible for malicious things like spam. This happens the most in shared hosting environments where other websites share an IP address with you. It doesn’t mean that you were responsible for the malicious behavior but rather that someone else was using your current IP address and now it is compromised. To resolve this, get in touch with your server team and ask them to change you to a new IP address.

Lastly, we’re throwing a fatal error because we’re not handling an error properly. That’s on us. I’ve made a ticket for this and it will be fixed in the next release.

    Cheers,
    Kevin.
