  • Have you tried any of the advice suggested on that page? I’ve gotten this message from time to time and it’s usually a result of my ISP being slow or crowded.

    Thanks for your response, I tried a few things off that page but no joy.
    My host company blame WordPress – although I suspected it was their server. I tried disabling all my plugins to no avail.

    I started my own thread because there was a few posts saying you should start your own as per the forum rules. Hope I did the right thing.

    As it stands my site is down at the mo, can’t get into the back end either.

    I’ve had to rework a whole load of things, change the way we cache, I’m still trying to get W3TC to work as intended but basically it seems that there are files taking a long time to run.

    admin-ajax.php seems to take a long time, which is the WordPress heartbeat, and that could be down simply to their being 3 or 4 people working in our backend, as each for every tab is kicking off a 15 second ajax heartbeat. Something WordPress are going to have to re-examine.

    I’m not sure why, it might be that WordPress is just creating under my system having 10,000 posts.

    Thanks dionsis, it’s happened about 4 times today, absolute nightmare. There is only ever me logged in – and just the single site on the server, so I hoped it would be able to run it ok but obviously not.
