The only reason I can think that you would see the access denied error from WordPress (not Connections) is that another plugin has removed the required custom capabilities for Connections … or … you are not supposed to have access. Are you the admin? if you are not, please contact the site’s admin. If you are, please see this FAQ:
https://connections-pro.com/faqs/s2member/
It is for s2Member but the instructions still apply in regards to restoring the require capabilities.
Let me know how it goes.
That completely broke the whole dashboard:
This page isn’t working
http://www.combedown.org is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500
I have uninstalled Code snippets

The only reason the snippet would cause the admin not to load is if it were not copied in its entirety. Perhaps you accidentally missed the copying the closing paren or something.
Code Snippets has a “safe mode” which can be enable in these cases. Unfortunately with the new wp.org plugin directory pages I can not link directly to their FAQ.
– Go to their page: https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/
– Scroll down to the FAQ section.
– Read the “Help! I just activated a snippet, and my whole site broke!” faq.
Basically, enable the Code Snippets safe mode, edit the code snippet you added making sure it matches exactly as shown in our FAQ and save it. Then disable the safe mode. Finally activate and deactivate the code snippet.
I’ve copied this exactly but Snippets still breaks the admin part of the site every time.
Have no idea how to resolve this whole issue.
