e-mail has been sent to the merchant informing them of the error. The following
is the result of the attempt to charge your credit card.

 * This error message comes up after a checkout is completed. I have talked to Authorize.
Net and they said it had to do with my plug-in settings. Any ideas?

 * I’m very concerned about updating this plugin and the developer’s website is
   showing a generic GoDaddy page.
 * These are working right now and after what I’m reading in this thread, I’m hesitant
   to update anything.
 * WordPress v3.8.1
    WooCommerce v2.0.20 Authorize.net Gateway v1.2.3
 * Perhaps the developer can come here and make a comment.

 * I am having same issue. Using WordPress WordPress 3.9.1, WooCommerce Version
   2.1.9, plugin Version 2.0.
 * ishanverma – You say you are testing with version 2.1.1, but the only version
available for download is version 2.0.

 * In addition, the last transaction did go through successfully. When I logged
in to Authorize.net, I saw the transaction was at first declined, then it was
approved. However this error was generated and the customer didn’t receive an
   email confirmation.
 * I also increased my memory allocation to 96MB.

 * We can no longer rely on this plugin for the long term. Software gets updated
and things break… this is normal. However, it’s not normal for a developer to
ignore these bugs for months at a time.
 * [@ishanverma](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ishanverma/), [your website](http://www.phptubelight.com)
has been down for a couple months. If you’re not going to fix it, remove the
   URL from [your WordPress profile](https://profiles.wordpress.org/ishanverma/).
 * I appreciate the author’s efforts, however, it’s nowhere near enough.
 * For peace-of-mind, we’ve purchased the official Auth.net Gateway offered by WooCommerce.

 * Unfortunately, WooCommerce doesn’t offer a SIM method. The best they have available
for someone like myself without a SSL certificate is Direct Post Method (DPM),
and I just don’t feel confident enough that someone won’t try to hack the form
to route the CC data somewhere else. All you have to do is right click and select‘
View Source’ to get the merchant’s API login ID. The transaction key doesn’t
appear to be in the form at least, but it’s still not secure enough for me. I
would rather have all that responsibility on Authorize.net’s shoulder.
 * I sent Woothemes an email to see if they have any plans to offer a SIM plugin,
   but haven’t heard anything yet.

 * It’s hard to believe that WooCommerce hasn’t already thought of all this. As
popular as it is, I think if this was a real security issue, you’d have thousands
of sites failing their PCI compliance.
 * What about the CIM version then? Requires an SSL certificate though…

 * I agree. I have done so much research on the DPM and really debated whether or
not to use it. Technically it does pass PCI compliance standards because the
cc data never is collected or stored on your server. Many think it’s safe and
it doesn’t require a SSL certificate. However, a certificate is still highly
recommended in order to display “https” in the browser URL and promote customer
confidence. I know I wouldn’t feel confident putting in credit card data without
   it.
 * Anyhow, an update on my issue…. I did another test on my site and everything
is working for me just as it should. Now the real test is to see if it works
for the customers. Just have to wait for a transaction to come through.
