 * I was working from my desk top where my media files are
    located and tried to
   upload them using the word press option to add the images. I got the error message“
   Unable to create directory /home/kno/public_html/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/
   04. Is its parent directory writable by the server?” I had a friend who is very
   knowledgeable help me with the Word Press installation to my Bludomain site (
   I’m a photographer) as my webhost. I am a Mac user.

 * You’ll need to to FTP to your site, go into the wp-content directoty. is the 
   uploads file there? if not create it.
 * Then what are the permissions (chmod) for that directory? I’d start at 666 and
   tweak from there until you find the best setting for your installation.
