    Hello,

On a 2 of my websites I receive this message on the WP Remote website:

Your site’s setup is not configured to allow writing files on the server and your site does not support any connection methods.

These sites are hosted on a dedicated server. I have 10 sites that are setup with WP Remote and all work ok except 3 of them. Two get the above message which I dont know how to solve. The third is stuck at “There is a new version of WP-Remote” and despite it being up to date still gives me this message.

    Here’s some additional information:

Site 1 is a normal site. It has Better WP-Security. I have verified that the security plugin isnt the issue (I deactivated it) and have also made the recommended adjustments to allow it to work with wp remote.

Site 2 is a normal site /w SSL encryption on certain pages. IT has Better WP-Security again same settings were used as previous site.

I can rule out SSL and Better WP Security as the problem as I:

    A. Have another SSL site that has the same settings and the one Im having and issue with and it works fine.

    B. The 7 sites that are working properly with WP Remote all use Better Wp-Security and WP Remote side by side without issue.

Finally (and unrelated to the above) I get the following message on the WP Remote site A LOT and even though it says its sent to you I wanted to make note of it here:

The WP Remote API request failed, the wp remote team have been notified of this.

  • I’m also getting “Your site’s setup is not configured to allow writing files on the server and your site does not support any connection methods”, only on 1 of my 20 sites. It’s on DreamHost shared hosting, but I have 2 other DreamHost sites that are working fine.

Hi! Can each of you email support@wpremote.com with your questions, please? It’ll be a much easier (and more secure) way for us to offer support.

    Thanks,

    Daniel
