# Error Log Question

 * I created a home.php file for a custom home page within my theme. Website works
   fine, but I checked my error log file and I am getting this message.
 * PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in /home/test/public_html/
   wp-content/themes/empty-Theme/index.php
 * I’m lost at this point?
 * Thanks for any help or suggestions

   which offers a solution, but does not off an why?

 * Try renaming home.php to front-page.php and using a static front page.

 * Well, I still do not know what is causing the error, but thanks to [Ardamis.com](http://www.ardamis.com/)
   I was able to stop the error messages with a fix. You can see it [here](http://www.ardamis.com/2011/06/02/fix-for-php-fatal-error-get_header-in-wordpress/)

 * No developers interested? It appears to be affecting only certain themes.
