    Hi elenasaygo,

    Thanks for reaching out. I am curious if there is a conflict with the older WP version. I will work on testing now.

    In the meantime, if you are able to provide any additional details about the other plugins you are using on your site that could be useful. There is a chance there is a conflict with another third-party plugin.

    Thanks, and stay tuned!

    Nick

    Just tested with WordPress 5.5.3 and PHP 7.3 on a fresh WP install and am unfortunately unable to replicate.

    If you are able to provide the other plugins that you are using, I will dig into testing if there is a conflict.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Nick,

    Thank you for testing and for the fast response.
    I have Charitable and a bunch of its addons installed, Fluent Forms, Site Kit by Google, PayPal Donation, and UpdraftPlus. I would deactivate them to test, but it’s a production site. I will set up a staging and do that

    Thanks I appreciate the help! I did a cursory install of all the plugins you mentioned on the test site. Of course I haven’t set them all up completely, but they are activated and still I am not seeing any issues.

    I took a quick look at https://washingtonautismalliance.org/wp-json and I am seeing the available endpoints as:

    "namespaces": [
        "oembed/1.0",
        "oxygen-vsb-connection/v1",
        "rankmath/v1",
        "wp-super-cache/v1",
        "wpf-send-email-report",
        "wpf_api",
        "rankmath/v1/an",
        "wp/v2"
    ],

    With Block Visibility installed, you should also see "block-visibility/v1", in that list. I have a sneaky suspicion the issue might be related to WP Super Cache, but I need to investigate further.

    Sorry about the trouble!!!

    Nick,

    The install I have Block Visibility on is actually in a folder, on https://washingtonautismalliance.org/give/ and WP Super Cache is not installed there. Maybe the issue is with the path, looking for the block-visibility/v1 in the root directory which is a different WP install.

    I actually set up staging on a subdomain and there is no issue with the Block Visibility’s settings, with the same setup and plugins.

    Thanks for the additional info. Just to confirm, Block Visibility is working on the staging site, right?

    After a bit more research, I believe the issue is the fact that the plugin is placed in the folder. That said, I am seeing that Charitable also appears to be installed there and their API is working. I am going to dig into their API code and see if I can figure out what they are doing differently in registering their API.

    Thanks!

    thank you for investigating, Yes, on the staging which is on a subdomain like staging.domain the plugin is working fine.

    Good evening, just wanted to provide a quick update. I was able to replicate the issue by setting up a testing site with WordPress in a subdirectory. I’ll have a fix soon and will push a fresh release by tomorrow. I will followup once it is live. I appreciate your help in solving this one!

    Hi Elena,

    I just pushed version 1.5.1, which should resolve the issue. I did a bunch of testing on WordPress installs in subdirectories and everything seems to be running smoothly now.

    Whenever you have a chance, please give it a try and let me know. Thanks for your help!

    Best,
    Nick
