# ERROR: Invalid Username

 * I successfully downloaded and setup WordPress via GoDaddy’s “one-click” auto 
   install. PROBLEM: When I go to login to the Administration Panel, it does not
   recognize my username, email, or password. What would cause this?

 * Get a new password, then. The default username is “admin” and you should have
   given WP your email address during the installation process.
 * It’s NOT your GoDaddy password.
 * If you still don’t receive the password reset email then use this [http://www.village-idiot.org/archives/2007/05/22/wp-emergency-password-recovery/](http://www.village-idiot.org/archives/2007/05/22/wp-emergency-password-recovery/),
   which I found just now.
