  • Check the permissions on your wp-content/themes/ directory (and the directory for each theme) through ftp.

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions

i’m not sure if those makes a difference, but i forgot a line in the error..

Warning: file(/home/excitin/public_html/wp-content/themes/boredom/style.css): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/excitin/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1324

Warning: implode(): Bad arguments. in /home/excitin/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1324

and it shows that for each theme i had installed.

do i change the permission to 666 or 777?

Directory permissions should be 755 or 775. File permissions, 644 or 664.

777 and 666 (directories and files, respectively) should only be necessary if editing files online through WordPress and the other permission sets don’t allow you to.

I am new to blogging. What is the difference between “directories” and “files” as mentioned above.

    Thank you,

directories in laymens terms are folders.

    files are things within directories.

its no different than the standard definitions.
