# Error in Internet Explorer

 * This is the error i’m getting on every single page in Internet Explorer (8). 
   I used to have IE6 and just updated, but that didn’t seems to do the trick.

 * With Firefox, everything works fine…
 * Message: ‘null’ is null or not an object

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.

 * It’s caused by the theme.
    Some scripts were run too soon in the header.
 * I disabled the scripts beause I don’t use them.
 * Some small errors are left:
 * 1) The RSS and Twitter button (works fine in Firefox) –> I guess this is a DIV
   problem
    2) The red crosses over the images
 * I tried all the steps above, but nothing seems to help…

 * The RSS and Twitter button alignment are solved.
    Still, I can’t figure out what
   causes the red crosses over the images.
 * Can someone please help?
