Error in installing Install Script

I am trying to add a blog to my existing website. I am on a Apache/Linux web server.
I have followed the instructions:
Created a DATABASE name, USER database, PWS to access in my SQL panel control.
I have copied all the above informations into the wp-config.php file, uploaded the directory Blog with all the files in a Subdirectory of my website.
Now when I try to install the Script by pasting the address http://nicolabettale.com/ENG/Blog/wp-admin/install.php on Google Chrome I get the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /var/www/virtual/nicolabettale.com/htdocs/ENG/Blog/wp-includes/pomo/entry.php on line 61

What does it mean and how can I solve it?

Try MANUALLY re-uploading WP. Download a fresh copy of the WordPress .zip file to your computer, unzip it, and use that to copy up all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory. You may need to delete the old wp-admin and wp-includes folders and files on your server before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first.

I’m having the same problem and did what Tara suggested but the same error comes up. Here’s the site: http://pueblowarriors.org/blog

Any help would be appreciated.

I’ve seen other sites where the PHP4 is the problem.

Here’s the error message:

If the above did not help, then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. That way you stand a good chance of getting full attention to your specific issue. Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical servers, accounts, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Thus one problem, on one setup is not indicative of the functionality and reliability of an application as a whole.

Hi Guys, can someone help me please. After i updated the plugins, i am not able to maneuver the different categories on my site, every time i click on the categories it gives me errors. can you please help me.
