# error in database with comments

 * I just transferred my site to a different host. However, something was wrong 
   with the database. My previous host (ipowerweb) was having a lot of problems 
   with their servers which is why I switched, and I noticed the error is showing
   up on my database there too, so it’s not a problem with the switch. Something
   mucked it up, and I’m noticing it only in the new place. The blog itself looks
   fine, seems to load okay.
 * However, when I try to open the admin page to post anything I see a blank screen
   with this error message:
 * WordPress database error: [Table ‘./mysite_wp/wp_comments’ is marked as crashed
   and should be repaired]
    SELECT COUNT(*) FROM wp_comments WHERE comment_approved
   = ‘0’
 * Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started
   at /home/mysite/public_html/presentmatters/wp-includes/wp-db.php:121) in /home/
   mysite/public_html/presentmatters/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 275
 * I checked the databases on the control panel and it is not showing an error on
   the comments table as noted, so I’m not sure how to repair it. Checking on the
   control panel is about the extent of my database knowledge.
