# Error in configuring postie

 * I am trying to configure postie(v1.7.27) using this parameters
 * Mail Protocol -IMAP-SSL
    Use Transport Layer Security (TLS) – No Port – 993 Mail
   Server – imap.gmail.com
 * I have enabled imap from my gmail account and i am using the full email address
   still i am gettin this error —
 * Connect to Mail Host
    checking Warning: imap_open(): Couldn’t open stream {imap.
   gmail.com:993/service=imap/ssl/notls/novalidate-cert}INBOX in /home/nettisk/iskconkolkata.
   com/wp-content/plugins/postie/postieIMAP.php on line 89 imap_open failed: Can
   not authenticate to IMAP server: [ALERT] Please log in via your web browser: 
   [https://support.google.com/mail/acco](https://support.google.com/mail/acco) 
   Unable to connect. The server said:

 * “Less secure apps” was the issue….
