Error in BLOCKS after update to WordPress 5.4 nl

    My websites (www.larivatrasimeno.nl and http://www.pineoakhotel) have the Hestia Theme installed. (version 2.5.6)

    When I installed the update for WordPress (both websites) to WordPress 5.4 nl, suddenly I get an errormessage when I try to edit a page.

    I go to the dashboard>pagina’s>pagina bewerken

    The error message is: “Dit block is een fout tegengekomen en kan geen voorbeeld tonen” (Translation: “this block has encountered an error and can’t show a sample”)

    I can add another block, but it gives the same errormessage as soon as I add it.

    I tried to load an earlier revision, but the problem still remains.

    The website don’t have this problem; when I open the page it looks good!

    Anyone have a suggestion to solve this problem…?

    Try:
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Twenty, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Hmmm… I tried both methods you suggested, thanks!

    The plugins doesn’t seem the problem, but the Hestia theme is!

    When I switched to the Twenty-twenty theme everything works just fine. When I switch back to Hestia the problem re-occurs.

    What to do…? Wait for an update from the Hestia Theme? Or is there an other solution…?

    That suggest issue with your Hestia theme.

    I recommend bringing this issue to the attenion of the theme author at https://wordpress.org/support/theme/hestia
