 * I’ve just begun receiving this error message when I go to add a new event :-
 * http_build_query() [function.http-build-query]: Parameter 1 expected to be Array
   or Object. Incorrect value given in /home/[name removed]/public_html/wp-includes/
   Requests/Transport/cURL.php on line 508
 * I’ve seen there have been reports of similar errors in the past but as I haven’t
   found a recent solution I thought I’d better start a new thread.
 * Any advice on how to fix this would be much apprecaiated.

 * Hi [@markwebstar](https://wordpress.org/support/users/markwebstar/),

 * Thanks Benjamin
 * I can try this later. If I perform all the steps as described, can I be sure
   that all my content and layouts will be restored ?

 * Hi [@markwebstar](https://wordpress.org/support/users/markwebstar/),
 * Yes, all data should be restored, but just in case make backup before you start.
 * Thanks,

 * The error may have been due to the fact that I was still running a very old version
   of PHP. Whilst I was preparing to follow your suggestion, I updated PHP to 7.1
   and now the error message seems to have disappeared.

 * Possibly that’s the reason, whatever it is, I am glad you find a way through
   the issue 🙂
 * Take care,
    Ben
