I have deleted and redone the install over and over again, following tutorials and instructions where ever I can get them. Ive read through as many of these forums that I can find, but still no luck… * I have edited the config file, uploaded all the files to my server, and still I cannot get WordPress working. I get up to the point of running the install. php file, but then get an HTTP 500 error, Internal Server Error. * The research I have done shows that the this can sometimes happen from themes that need to be removed. Ive tried to log into MyPHPAdmin, but the tables have not been created because the install has not run. * Someone also posted in this forum, for the same problem that happened on an install. This person was able to trace the problem to a syntax error in wp-includes/class- wp-theme.php. Their ISP replaced the file with another, and the problem was solved. I though perhaps my download or unzip didn’t go perfectly, but its not that either. I have traced the source for the class-wp-theme.php and replaced it in the unzipped files, but still no luck. I have downloaded version 4.4.1 and installed, and no luck there either. * Im literally at wits end. Then recreate the database and user, download the WP files fresh, configure wp-config, upload the files to your web server, and try again. * If you’ve already gone through all that, it’s possible there’s something off in your hosting environment. Can you install it on localhost on your own machine? Please double check the .htaccess configuration.
