# Error from changes

 * Hi,
 * Thanks in advance to the help, this has been doing my head in for the last 3 
   hours.
 * So i established a holding/site publisher page via cpanel which i removed (finally)
   and wanted to change the URL to my website and pages via wordpress from [http://www.dapperxbougie.com/wp/](http://www.dapperxbougie.com/wp/)
   to [http://www.dapperxbougie.com](http://www.dapperxbougie.com) (this is my goal/
   objective).
 * So first off i googled and delete the file index.html or whatever in phpadmin.
   Secondly i changed the siteurl in “option” and general –> settings to reflect
   the new URL above. WHen i tried logging into my wp adin (www.dapperxbougie.com/
   wp/wp-admin) i get the following message and i dont know how to fix it:
 * Not Found
    The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server.
 * Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument
   to handle the request.
 * So itried to change the url in the myphp siteurl/options section to [http://www.dapperxbougie.com/wp](http://www.dapperxbougie.com/wp)
   and changed back the General–> settings section to reflect the same and its not
   fixing anything.
 * I am hoping someone can help me update the URL so i can meet my goal to put the
   homepage as [http://www.dapperxbougie.com/](http://www.dapperxbougie.com/) and
   login without errors?

 * Ok so it may have taken some time to recover but i dont have the 404 issue anymore,
   i still want to change the homepage to [http://www.dapperxbougie.com](http://www.dapperxbougie.com)
   not [http://www.dapperxbougie.com/wp](http://www.dapperxbougie.com/wp) – obviously
   if i change the settings under Settings -> General then i get the 404 error so
   i was wondering how do i change the domain name to reflect [http://www.dapperxbougie.com?](http://www.dapperxbougie.com?)
