First of all make sure you always use a full locale code, so “he_IL” not just “he”.
I just installed bbpress, made the bbpress/languages
folder writable and created a hebrew translation, which got named bbpress-he_IL.mo
. The translations show up.
As for why you’re getting the Forbidden message – you must have the manage_options
permission to access Loco screens, but it sounds like you can access the screens, so I doubt it’s that.
If Loco can’t save the files due to file permissions it will not say “Forbidden” It will explain the problem.
I’m afraid I can’t tell from your description where the forbidden message is coming from, so I’m out of ideas unless you can provide more information.

hi,
thanks for the fast answer.
i am using the full locale code.
the strange thing is that i’m getting this massage only for bbpress but can save any other plugin without a problem.
i have reinstalled wordpress, bbpress and loco and still no luck.
what other information do you need to help me out?.

I need to know what is producing the “Error: Forbidden” message and where it is appearing. Is a full screen error? If so, what is in the URL at the time?

It shows up as a red warning massage above the translation window.
no redirect or anything just the massage when I’m clicking the save.

Sounds like the ajax service is throwing this error, but the only reason Loco would raise a “Forbidden” error is if you don’t have the manage_options
permission. It would also raise this error for translating all plugins, not just one. Without being able to reproduce your error and without any reason why Loco would be denying access to anything, I’m out of ideas.
