Sounds like something went wrong in the authorization process or ones of the settings in the admin is not set right. I would suggest resetting the settings and authorizing the plugin again.

tried that, tried changing the folder that is linked (path in dropbox folder). it didnt help. the path should be the same as the link I would “share” right?
No, you wouldn’t share what goes there. it should look something like /tasmin/dropbox/

I’m really sorry I’m having this much trouble, but I’ve tried a number of possibilities and still getting the same error.
When I am on the Dropbox website in that folder, the address is: https://www.dropbox.com/home/PortraitEquality/Photographers
My user name is tasmin brown
The shared link is:https://www.dropbox.com/sh/dc94ankpzk10t3l/vY8jhHmiU4
What should go in the plugin?
Thank you for your help!
In the box labeled “Path in dropbox folder” you should put /PortraitEquality/Photographers/ nothing more and in the box labeled “Temporary path on server” make sure it matches the default location listed below the box then save the settings. Goto the page where you put the shortcode and attempt to upload a file then check dropbox to confirm the file was uploaded to your account.
