[resolved] Error for subscribe/unsubscribe (5 posts)

    I am using version 8.8 of this plugin with WP 3.5.1.

    When people enter their email address into the widget or subscription page and click either "subscribe" or "unsubscribe," they get the message, "This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it? It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help." It won't let them do either function.

    Any help is greatly appreciated as we have a large number of subscribers. This function hasn't worked in a couple of versions, and we keep getting emails from people wanting to subscribe.

    Many thanks!

    That message is the default 404 (cannot find the page) message in most of the default WordPress themes. That means that the form is being submitted to a page that doesn't exist so you need to check the main plugin settings and also those of the Widget and correct this to point to a page that exists.

    They were both pointing to two different pages. Once I set them up to point to the same one, it worked.

    Thanks so much for your help! We've used the plugin for a few years and love it.

    @JC Hines,

    For future reference you should open a new topic if your issue is new and different rather than adding onto an unrelated thread.

    I'll presume you are using version 8.8 of Subscribe2 as there is a known (and now fixed) issue in the uninstaller as discussed here:

    To fix this you need to update the uninstall.php file to the version available here:
