Error: Feed failed (7 posts)

I post my RSS feed to the front page of my website (right sidebar). It was working up until yesterday when I added two new posts, which I don't think were any different than previous posts...however, I keep receiving the following error message where the feed would normally show up on my website:

"Error: Feed failed! Causes may be (1) No data found for RSS feed http://dreamingant.com/wp/feed/; (2) There are no items are available for this feed; (3) The RSS feed does not validate.

Please verify that the URL http://dreamingant.com/wp/feed/ works first in your browser and that the feed passes a validator test."

    (1) There IS data.
    (2) There are items.
    (3) RSS feed DOES validate.

So, I have no idea what's wrong. Any suggestions?

  2. What are you using to put it on the sidebar? That's what's giving you the error.

I believe we're using feed2js.php to post the feed to the front page sidebar. Anyone familiar with this, or should I try their website for troubleshooting?

  4. I guess you'll have to try their website, I doubt anybody here knows "feed2js.php". I've never heard of it.

I just checked their website, and they have very little support material...none specific to my problem anyway.

Does anyone have any suggestions for better/alternative RSS Display code that I can incorporate on my website to view multiple feeds?

PS - Thanks for the lightning fast responses!

  6. I generally use SimplePie, but it's not as easy to use as your code seems to be, because it's not javascript based.

Looking at feed2js's code, I see that it uses MagPie, which should work okay. Perhaps your server isn't allowing it to fetch the feed from itself anymore.

okay. i gave up on it for awhile, but now i need to access my wordpress blog again...and it still does not work. i've determined it is definitely NOT a "feed2js.php"-specific problem, as i receive similar error messages from every online rss aggregator/reader i've tried e.g.

"Unable to locate feed for http://dreamingant.com/wp/feed/"

"Unable to open RSS Feed http://dreamingant.com/wp/feed/ with error HTTP
    ERROR: 403, exiting"

i think i've narrowed the problem down to having something to do with the date folders. i believe this because i just changed the status of all of my 2008 posts from "Published" to "Draft" and the rss feed displays just fine now. but if i try to add a new post dated in 2008, it goes on fritz again.

does anyone have any suggestions? thanks!
